La RFID technology, short for Radio Frequency Identification (radio frequency identification) uses high-frequency radio waves to transmit and store data, enabling unique identification of objects, animals or people.
In this system, a RFID reader (or RFID interrogator) is connected to a communications network (software), while the transponder (label or tag) contains the RFID chip and is activated by the energy of the radio waves emitted by the reader. The reader interrogates the transponder, which sends back the requested data.
In short, it's a label that combines an antenna large enough to receive the signal optimally with a superior quality chip which keeps the data stored permanently.
